Random deer picture

This is a deer I shot on a late hunt in unit 69. I hunted for almost 2 weeks and saw on average 100 head a day but no really good bucks. On the last day of the we had seen this buck up above the Ririe Reservoir. He was in CRP grounds that had grown to about 5 to 6 ft tall with small quake patches spread through it. My dad drove his truck through the CRP around the patches and we would shoot a .22 into each patch. Finally we found the patch he was hiding in. He had about 15 does. We drove around the patch to try and cut him off. I hopped in the back of the truck so I could see other wise standing in the CRP I couldn't see a thing. We drove up on a little draw and saw him come up out of it about fifty yards. I didn't hesitate. Aimed and shot once just as he disappeared over a small hill. We drove up to where I thought I shot him. We then tried to track him for 1 hr. Then finally found him 10 yards in front of the truck. The CRP was that bad. It was a good medium buck but with all the deer I saw in that area there should have been bigger bucks.
